Can a design tell a story?

"Stadt.Land.Flucht." (Town.Country.Escape.) is a collection that describes the emotional journey from the city to the countryside through the interplay of colour, shape, and silhouette. Static shapes and signal colours change within the collection to soft shapes and delicate colours.
The collection was developed together with Michèle Lemper. Michèle Lemper was responsible for fashion design and pattern development. My task was to create the design and colour concept, as well as the textile surface design.
The print designs include a striped pattern and a houndstooth, two classic patterns. The textile design changes from outfit to outfit, becoming softer in shape and more delicate in colour. The textiles used also change within the collection, becoming more fluid with each outfit.
For the realisation of the textile designs, they were perfectly adapted to the cut pieces and printed on the textiles using sublimation printing.
